Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that focusses on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities (malocclusion).

These issues may be inherited or arise from habits at a young age.

The reasons it is beneficial to correct malocclusion are as follows:

  • Improve self confidence
  • Reduce risk of gum disease and tooth decay
  • Improve speech impediments
  • Reduce risk of trauma to protrusive teeth
  • Reduce tooth wear

If you have ever thought about straightening your teeth to improve the appearance or to make it easier to clean your teeth and would like to discuss the options please call us on (03) 9818 2994 or book online.

Invisalign is the modern and effective technique of using a series of clear aligners to straighten teeth.

Invisalign is a great option if you would prefer not to have the look of traditional braces.

The cost of invisalign will be determined by the complexity of your case and how long you are in treatment. Invisalign can take anywhere from 6 months to 18 months. As the teeth are moving through the bone we want light constant pressure on the teeth so you will need to wear your aligners for 22 hours a day.

Step 1

The first step to commencing invisalign is to book in for a consultation so we can assess if invisalign is the best option for you.

Step 2

We will discuss what is involved in your treatment and then take impressions and photos. We will then design your new smile and before you commit to going ahead with your treatment we are able to show you a movie of what your teeth will look like after treatment.

Step 3

Once you are happy with how your teeth will look we book you in to place the attachments on the appropriate teeth (which are tooth coloured and help the aligners with some movements) as per our plan and give you your first 3 sets of aligners.

Step 4

You will then see us every 6 weeks to ensure the teeth are moving well and that your invisalign aligners are fitting nicely

Step 5

Once you are happy with your beautiful new smile we need to keep the teeth in the correct position so will construct retainers for you to wear. At your regular 6 monthly preventative hygiene appointments we then keep an eye on your teeth and assess the retainers to ensure they are still fitting perfectly.

Quick Straight Teeth (QST)

QST uses white brackets and a white wire to straighten your teeth with a fixed brace and utilises the aid of technology to reduce treatment times.
